Our relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services to provide and improve them. Information you submit through the Services may be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and third parties that may be located in countries other than your own.
To learn more about Shopify’s use of personal information and the rights you may have, visit Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to exercise certain rights through Shopify’s privacy portal.
Third-party websites and links
The Services may contain links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. If you follow a link to a site that we do not own or control, we encourage you to review that site’s privacy and security policies and its terms. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content of those sites.
Information you share in public or semi-public spaces, including on third-party social media platforms, may be visible to other users. Including a link does not, by itself, mean that we endorse the linked platform or its content.
Children’s data
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children as defined under applicable law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below to request its deletion.
As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we “share” or “sell” personal information of individuals under 16, as those terms may be defined by applicable law.
Security and retention
No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information sent to us may not be secure while in transit, so please do not send sensitive information through insecure channels.
How long we retain personal information depends on factors such as whether we need it to maintain your account, provide the Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce applicable agreements and policies.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights concerning your personal information. These rights are not absolute, and exceptions may apply under the law:
- Access: You may request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Data portability: In certain circumstances, you may request a copy of your personal information or ask us to transfer it to a third party.
- Marketing preferences: You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. We may still send non-promotional messages, such as account or order updates.
If you live in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may also have the right, subject to applicable exceptions and limitations, to object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew consent.
You can exercise your rights through the options provided in the Services or by contacting us using the details below. For information about how Shopify uses personal information and rights relating to information processed by Shopify, visit Shopify’s privacy portal.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request, as permitted or required by law. Where applicable law allows it, you may appoint an authorized representative to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask for proof of that authorization and may need to verify your identity directly. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we process your personal information, please contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We may transfer, store, and process your personal information outside the country where you live. Where a transfer from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom requires a transfer mechanism, we will use an applicable recognized mechanism, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or a relevant UK equivalent, unless the destination has been recognized as providing an adequate level of protection.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated version on this website, update the “Last updated” date, and provide any notice required by law.
