Temple of the Golden Pavilion Inspired Tee, Yukio Mishima Kinkaku-ji Japanese Literature Oversized Organic Shirt
One perfect building. One obsession it could not survive. π―
ιι£ε―Ί, The Temple of the Golden Pavilion, is Yukio Mishima's 1956 novel about a young acolyte fixated on the most beautiful building in Kyoto, until beauty itself turns unbearable. Inspired by the real 1950 fire at Kinkaku-ji, it is one of the most intense and elegant books in modern Japanese literature.
We drew the pavilion in fine gold line work, its reflection mirrored below like the temple on its pond, with the title in Japanese above and the author's name, δΈε³Άη±η΄ε€«, running down the side. Quiet, precise and a little dangerous, like the novel.
